I picked up on an older subject matter/submit where others which have said that a barrel getting the “Oval P” could have been equipped by Winchester:
If it were doable to edit my previously reply I'd change the introduction with the “Oval P” stamp to browse “not discovered till 1910 or later.” Therefore the 1913 day is a superb in good shape.
Thanks Bert for the extra information. I wasnt informed that both of those the barrel and receiver ended up struck Along with the “WP” with the inception of using the “WP” evidence, nor which the “Oval P” didnt seem until eventually 1908.
Anyone who has truly labored or managed production about the shop ground of a large production and production enterprise understands that a correct new substitution element or barrel wouldn't be out there in every single occasion. And no manufacturing unit would at any time make a single from scratch if there was an oval P barrel readily available for fast use. My own Paramount movie SRC is family owned because 1939 which is just like the 5 others I have Individually examined.
